Dr. David S. Evans is a renowned economist specializing in antitrust, platform businesses, and the digital economy. He serves as an Advisory Board Member with Global Economics Group in Boston and has been a testifying expert on numerous landmark antitrust cases in the U.S. and internationally. His academic work focuses on industrial organization and antitrust economics, with particular expertise in platform businesses. Dr. Evans has authored six major books, including the award-winning “Matchmakers: The New Economics of Multisided Business,” and over 100 articles. His research on multisided platforms was extensively cited by the U.S. Supreme Court in Ohio v. American Express. Dr. Evans has taught antitrust economics and related courses at prestigious institutions including University College London, the University of Chicago Law School, and Fordham Law School. He has testified in federal and state courts, arbitration panels, and before Congress on antitrust matters and other issues involving platform and digital businesses, intellectual property, financial markets, and payment systems.
